Mean, hurtful, intentional and repeated... bullying is not only harmful to those involved, but also shapes the school environment, affecting students’ ability to learn and teachers’ effectiveness in the classroom. Everyday, 160,000 children miss school because of a fear of being bullied. Bullying can happen at any time, anywhere and to anyone. But students should feel empowered to do something when it does happen. Based on the Olweus Bullying Prevention Model,www.Learntobehealthy.org provides educators for grades K-12 with activities to help empower students to either Support, Report or Stand-Up in a bullying situation.

Our NEW Premium bullying prevention activities - This Has to Stop, for 7th-12th graders, and Step Right Up, for 4th-6th graders - empower students with the knowledge and skills to progress from complacent bystanders to individuals who can help stop bullying. These activities transform students from bystanders into those who can help stop bullying situations by Supporting, Reporting and Standing Up. As everyday thought-provoking bullying scenarios unfold, students must decide whether they will act or do nothing. Their choices provide a glimpse into the thoughts and reactions of everyone involved and the consequences of doing nothing. Students experience the impact of their decisions which helps them to realize the importance of taking action and how they can make a difference when bullying occurs.
