Surfing around the net today I discovered this very interesting anti-bullying program, delivered as a school assembly.
The goal of our anti bullying presentation-program is: that as a result of their greater knowledge and understanding of bystanders behaviour, students' behaviour will change in these ways: • fewer will join in bullying behaviour • fewer will smile or show approval of bullying behaviour incidents • fewer will promote the status of the aggressor or the target • more will be prepared to express their dislike of what is happening • more will volunteer information about what is happening.
Magic, audience participation and a fun
game show atmosphere are the components in maintaining the focus of our
messages to thousands
of students. However, the content is the number
one priority; the fun is so that they absorb the information.
Being voted best
entertainer 12 years in a row in the greater Toronto Area makes it
very easy to keep thousands of students in the palm of my hands.
You're
students will receive quality new material that will demonstrate to
them the impact they
can have as bystanders to reduce
bullying
in their school.
We hear over and over again how our proactive programs, through our
anti-bullying assemblies have the right approach.
By
taking the focus off the bully and even the victim, we demonstrate how
effective and important the bystanders are...
When the assembly
is over your students will clearly understand how to stop bullying in your
school.
