you don’t mess with Melissa She's a Bully

Melissa is a tall girl, very tall for her age. She is known for being a fighter. When Melissa wants something, she gets it. It is an unknown rule at the school, “you don’t mess with Melissa”.

Amanda is a regular girl. She gets good grades and is involved in social activities at the school. She has a good sense of self-esteem. She is not the most popular girl in school, but she has a large set of friends and is happy with her high school “scene”.

Amanda and Melissa are in science class together. Since their last names are close to the same, they are made to sit by one another. Amanda and Melissa become friends. They talk, but only in class. Melissa tells Amanda things that surprise her such as how Melissa tried out for cheerleading two years ago and about her crush. All of these things seem to surprise Amanda since she didn’t think of Melissa as the type of girl who would be caught in a skirt or with a boy.

Melissa’s friend Lisa saw a note that Amanda had written Melissa in science class one day. The note talked about the boy who Melissa had a crush on. This boy happened to be Lisa’s boyfriend. Lisa was Melissa’s best friend. Of course Lisa was furious to think that her best friend had a crush on her boyfriend. When she confronted Melissa, Melissa told her that it wasn’t true and that Amanda was trying to cause trouble.

Melissa wrote terrible things about Amanda high on the bathroom wall. Amanda was very upset. She called the principal to have it cleaned off immediately. The principal asked Amanda if she knew who had written this. Amanda told her that she did know and it was Melissa.

Melissa was made to clean off the writing on the bathroom wall. Melissa made it known that she was going to have a fight with Amanda the next day. She told everyone. Amanda was terrified that Melissa was really going to try and fight with her the next day.

That next morning, Lisa, came to the table where Amanda was sitting with her friends and announced “Melissa wants to talk to you.” Which everyone knew was code for “you’re in big trouble”. Although Amanda was scared, instead of the most common reaction of “tell Melissa that if she wants to talk to me she will come over here”, Amanda got up and walked towards where Melissa was sitting.

The group at the table watched in amazement as Amanda walked closer. She was scared, but wasn’t about to show it. She knew Melissa was just another girl like her from the talks that they had in science class.

When they met, everyone was looking at them. Amanda smiled at Melissa and asked her why that she wrote those things on the wall in the bathroom. Amanda waited for the worst.

To her surprise and everyone else’s Melissa said that she was sorry and that she overreacted. That day in science class, Melissa and Amanda talked like they were old friends and everyone had a new respect for Amanda for being able to stand up for herself, and for Melissa for not fighting with Amanda, but instead apologizing. The school was changed that day. Most were not scared of Melissa anymore.

Her senior year, Amanda and Melissa were on the cheerleading squad together
